Only in this way is that you will attract readers and users interested in learning it. Increasing or improving the rankings is important, but never forget that more important than that is your audience. Work with her and for her, with quality and dedication. The rankings are the work of background.

Install the Alexa toolbar – As already mentioned, install the Alexa toolbar will help you increase your own ranking Alexa. Set as your home page, because that will make you also add a few extra points.

Place the widget on the Blog Sidebar – Placing the widget helps Alexa by the promotion of the service and increase your ranking. Every page view is counted by the widget making Alexa update your blog’s rankings more quickly.

Use Alexa redirection – Try putting this link on your websites http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details?url=http://www.xyz.com , by replacing the address of your website or blog. You can place the link or hidden at the end of each post for example. Each click will be counted as a visit and is told only 1 visit per IP.

How to Calculate Actual Daily Visitors of a Site using Alexa Traffic Details ?

Previously, I had posted about how to improve alexa ranking for new blogs. Today, I have a very interesting Article for you which will help you to Find How much Traffic a Site Gets using Traffic Details from Alexa.

The Simple Formula to Calculate Daily Traffic from Alexa Traffic Details

Step 1 – Go to http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/xyz.com (Replace xyz.com with your Site Name) . Click Reach

Step 2 – Find the “1 month’s Avg” (one month’s average) See Pic Below.

Here My Blogs “1 month avg” = 0.00125

Step 3 - Multiply the figure with 545454

For Eg. I am multiplying my own 1 month avg with 545454. ie 0.00125 x 545454 = 681 (daily unique visitors). Wow this is almost 90% accurate.

For My Old Blog Realtrix ie, 0.00278 x 545454 = 1518 (daily unique visitors). That’s again 96% accurate.

Similarly I found Amit Agarwal’s Labnol.Org is 0.0296 x 545454 = 16,145 (daily unique visitors). I don’t know how accurate it is but seems accurate upto 60%. I have heard labnol gets more than 30k visits per day.

PS : I can’t guarantee that the results will also be positive for all sites. But its worth a try.

So, What Your Alexa Say ? Reply in Comments…

Customizing Related Posts Widget Plugin's Title & Number of Posts (Optional)

By default, if your blogs are written in English, you should be more likely having no need to customize the widget title. However, if your blog is not a normal blog or not in English. For example, it's a food/cuisine/etc or written in Japanese. You could set the title to Related Recipes or 関連記事 (translated by Google Translate). Here is how you can do that: Change the original code:

    <script src='http://www.google.com/jsapi'></script><script src='http://brps.appspot.com/brps.js' type='text/javascript'/>

    into

    <script src='http://www.google.com/jsapi'></script><script type="text/javascript">window.brps_options = { "title": "<h2>Hey! Check out my other related posts!</h2>" "max_results": 5 }</script><script src='http://brps.appspot.com/brps.js' type='text/javascript'/>

Notice that we have a new <script> block. You can also use HTML in it, you may need to as shown above since normal Blogger widgets use <h2> as title. If you don't use, the widget may look different. "max_results": 5 = Number of Related Posts you Want to Show

Advanced Design CSS Customization of Related Posts Widget for Blogger Plugin (Optional)

    The DOM looks like:

div#related_posts h2 /* By default. If you customize brps_options["title"], it will be whatever you set */ ul li

If you want to set CSS of every related post item of list:

    #related_posts ul li {  /* CSS here */  font-family: Arial;  font-size: 1.2em;  font-weight: bold;  color: #888;  }

If you want to set CSS of default title of list:

    #related_posts h2 {  /* CSS here */  }

BloggingTips: Writing Effective Articles to Advertise your Blog

One essential tip in blogging is learning how to write interesting articles to advertise your blog. This tips works for promoting blogs as well as advertising your Squidoo lens, your Facebook page and other links.
Blogging Tip #1 – Language is Important
Consider your skill in writing. It’s a fact that in the online world; most users can’t even write in English: they know how to communicate in English but not in a readable article. A badly written email or blog might work if the message is good and easily understandable, but not an article.
This is actually a problem since not only do most internet users don’t understand English, but they also have a lot to offer to us that do. In these cases, hiring a writer is an option. Though this, they write your articles in return for you translating one of theirs into your language and submitting it in your country.
Just be watchful of your deals with writers. Remember, that’s blogging tip #1:  communicate as effectively as you can, even in different languages if you can make it happen.
Tip #2 – Give the Right Message
Write your articles in a way that they deliver your intended message. Writing your articles can be done in two ways:  Seriously, where you will make a fortune, or jokingly, where in you will give your readers a laugh, that helps in persuading them to return.
By doing this, you will get good comments thread going on with your topic. The trick is to write in such a way that interests readers, even if you write in a silly way.
Try to consider these examples: Monty Python got to be a world-wide phenomenon because of their silliness, and the same was true of Basil Fawlty, the Three Stooges and Laurel and Hardy.
Tip #3 – Try to choose your mood
If you’re no good in being silly, then try being serious, but in writing such articles you have to be accurate with your facts considering that serious readers are very watchful for mistakes and accuracy of the article.
Try to write authoritatively on the topic of your blog. If you don’t have much idea on this, then get your content online and change it to be uniquely yours. The main point here is that you’re providing readers with useful information that benefits the reader. Aid them in solving a problem or save them time in what they are currently working on.
Tip #4 – Be more Informative than Videos
Remember that you’re competing against audio and video. One good tip is that you should consider what audio and video cannot provide, and then provide it.
    Here’s an example:
You’re offering statistics on how much money your products save customers that purchase it. This can be more prominent when represented in bold red letters, maybe in italics and underlined, than just shown via audio or video.
Tip #5 – Write From the Heart
    Write naturally:
Write what comes into your head as you write on a topic that you love. Don’t be too conscious of your articles spelling or content, otherwise, this can result to getting your article to appear stilted and unnatural.
Correction of the mistakes in an article can come in later, when writing, let everything flow from your heart without the constraints of online article writing rules.
Remember that it’s a blog and not an essay, most of your readers will be as good at English grammar as you are!  Take that in any way you like to – it came from the heart!

    The Advantages of Article Marketing

Article marketing basically refers to writing short articles in relation to a certain industry. This form of marketing is used by professionals for nearly as long as mass print has been available.
Article marketing is truly an effective investment with minimal costs. Some of the benefits of article marketing are: increased traffic, increased promotion, link popularity, better search engine optimization, and brand awareness, generate leads, more sales, and more profit.
Although some people that attempt article marketing are not able to Rinse and repeat, this is because of lack of understanding. It’s possible that the people claiming the premature death of article marketing are the people who’ve failed with it?
You’ll see advantages from such form of marketing not only in the amount of links pointed to you but also with the potential clients you may acquire. One of my most effective techniques for this form of marketing is placing your targeted keyword phrase in the title, usually at the beginning. The benefits of such form of marketing are prominent and the results are tabulated in dollars in a good way.
The main points to focus on article writing are the structure of the articles and grammar. Even internet marketers who consider themselves successful and are already knowledgeable about this form of marketing are finding that they are learning new techniques to make their article marketing efforts even more profitable.
Writing articles and its promotion is by far one of the most productive and promotional tactics available. Writing reviews, as a resource to members of your list will easily result in another passive stream of income in your business.

Writing articles and article marketing are popular online promotion tools. Writing great articles, however, won’t do you any good if you don’t know how to submit them effectively. Writing articles about new affiliate programs are great way to get listed fast in search engines due to limited competition.

Before writing, keyword research is important. Article marketing is the practice of posting keyword-focused articles on article sites that then syndicate your content.
If you don’t like writing or submitting, then outsource this task because this form of marketing is too valuable and effective not to take advantage of it. Remember, the more articles you have the better.
Also, don’t ever forget about the bio box, this plays a vital role in getting your ratings. If you want to really make your article sell then you’ve got to craft the perfect Resource Box. Its essential that you include your name and optional title should be the first things you put in your resource box.

Keep your resource box brief. Keep the size of your resource box so that it’s no larger than 15% of your total article size. Too often I see resource boxes that are 50 percent of the size of the articles they have, avoid that. The body of your article is where you “GIVE” and the resource box is where you get to “TAKE” for your gift of information. The resource box is the “currency of payment” you receive for your articles.
The bottom line is the benefits offered by this form of marketing aren’t what you usually get from other types of marketing methods.

Normally the articles used for this form of marketing are not too. Considering your articles target a particular subject the prospective customers from this form of marketing are targeted customers.

Remember to use Keywords when writing. Article marketing is certainly a great way in increasing your traffic. Other types of websites effective for this form of marketing are the blog site and web forum. Article marketing is certainly one of the best ways to get traffic when it comes to online business.
