Blogging is one of the easiest way to make money from home. Though starting a blog seems to be tough but it’s quite easy and theer are many service like free WordPress setup which offers free WordPress installation service to get started with Blogging.
Now getting back to the point, I started my Blogging career with BlogSpot but after 3 month of Blogging experience with BlogSpot I moved to more professional way of blogging by opting for self-hosted WordPress blog.
While blogging on BlogSpot, I realized that BlogSpot is missing lots of essential features like permalink editing, SEO settings and use of plugins. Like WordPress, BlogSpot is not so scalable. More over all the professional Bloggers around the web are using WordPress as their blogging platform and this gave me another reason to make my shift from BlogSpot to WordPress.
Reasons why I love word press blog
1. WordPress support
When I started blogging on wordpress, I was a newbie and needed lots of support. WordPress support forum comes out to be the easiest way to get all the support I needed. More over lots of users are on WordPress platform and a simple google search will help y0u to find the WordPress answers you are looking for.
2. WordPress Themes and plugins
Though we have plenty of blogspot themes and widgets but the amount of free and premium themes we have for wordpress blogs is incredible. Think of anything and we already have a plugin for the same in wordpress plugin directory.
Update: WordPress.com let you add some selected premium WordPress theme but it’s better to have self hosted WordPress blog, where you can add any premium WordPress theme.
3. WordPress as a static Website
If you are planning to create a static website, with wordpress feature you can always use it to create a static website. Having your static website with WordPress will help you in better SEO and ranking in search engine.
4. WordPress is SEO friendly
This is one of the best part of WordPress, when I moved to wordpress, SEO is the least thing I was worried about because by default WordPress is more SEO friendly than BlogSpot and other Blogging platform. Though you can use best recommended WordPress SEO plugin to enhance your WordPress blog SEO.
5. Trust and respect
Blogspot is a free blog platform and that’s why it is used by lots of spammers to create back links and for affiliate marketing. That’s why people tend to avoid Blogspot blogs. Though if you have Self hosted blog in this case it is WordPress, it means you are serious about blogging.
6. Monetization
As I mentioned in the above point how self hosted wordpress blog helps you to gain respect and trust. Same ways you can easily contact private advertiser and increase your potential to make money.
